Freshford Parish Council

Street Lighting Proposals

The Parish Council is seeking residents’ views on plans to upgrade all operational street lamps to LEDs and to switch off some street lamps.

Residents are encouraged to complete a short survey about the proposals which can be reached via the button below:

The survey provides further details about the proposals, including the street lights which are being considered to be switched off.

The closing date for the survey is Sunday 29th January.

The Parish Council runs and maintains 38 street lights in the village. Rising energy prices will increase running costs significantly unless energy savings are made. Reducing energy use is also in line with the Parish Council’s Climate Emergency declaration.

The Parish Council is seeking residents’ views on options available to help understand the impacts. Councillors will make a final decision on proposals at a Parish Council meeting, taking into account responses received.

If you know someone who has not got online access and would like to complete a paper form, please contact Richard Tibbles on 07985 068393.
