A lot of people were interested in thermal imaging and energy audit , and also how to insulate their homes. We have borrowed a thermal image camera and are going to train some members of the group in its use. We will start to do some thermal image surveys as soon as we can as these should be done during cold weather as it is best to have 8C to 10C temperature difference between inside and outside to get the best results. We shall endeavour to do as many as we can before the spring.
Another popular request was for information on heat pumps and solar panels. We will organise some talks, possibly in Freshford village hall, to cover these subjects. We also aim to organise events where villagers with interesting home energy technology and examples of retrofit will open their houses to visitors from the villages.
