Parish Councillor Vacancies

At last month’s local elections it was great that six people came forward to be Freshford Parish councillors.

This means that there are spaces for three more people to join the Parish Council and we’re asking residents to consider stepping forward.

We’d love to hear from residents who are interested in local matters and would like to add something to community life.

Councillors need to be available to attend meetings (7pm, second Monday of the month, no meeting in August) and to consider proposals and ideas being discussed. After that, the role is very flexible and any additional responsibilities will vary depending on peoples’ interests and time available.

There’s support from a part-time, paid Clerk and training available.

If you’d like to learn more about the role please get in touch: parish.council@freshfordvillage.com
