Marion Dale began her garden design journey in 2005 in the South West when she retrained as a garden designer and planting consultant at Lackham Horticultural College, Wiltshire. She graduated in 2007 and set up Summerdale Garden Designs, near Yeovil.
This talk explores some of the plants which we regularly grow in our gardens and reveals a number of ‘wicked plants’ which can kill, intoxicate, irritate or otherwise offend. It will take a look at some commonly known offenders, some beautiful plants with a wicked hidden secret, poisonous plants which could help our health and in our old age, misused plants which have generated trade and had an impact on history, plants which have inspired poetry and a few which have us running for the smelling salts!
