Children from the school will take part in a 5km sponsored walk on Sunday 14 May from 10.30 to raise funds for new playground equipment. We would love to invite members of our village community to walk with us and/or consider making a donation to our appeal.
The playground’s wooden climbing frames desperately need replacing to help the children stay active outdoors during the school day.
We’re encouraging the children to take responsibility for asking friends, neighbours and family for sponsorship. Assuming we hit our (ambitious) target, the new equipment will be installed by September.
Our walk will take us in a loop from school through the beautiful countryside out to Iford Manor and back. On returning to school, we’ll be serving pizzas, ice creams and drinks to all.
We appreciate that it’s a challenging time financially for many, but we are incredibly grateful for even the smallest of donations. The more we raise, the more we can buy. So every penny counts!
