Black Shed Flowers,
Dodds Cross, Sherborne DT9 4JX

Following his visit to Freshford last November to give us a talk about setting up his business, “Black Shed Flowers”, by popular demand we are organising an outing to visit these cut flower fields at Blackmarsh Farm, just outside Sherborne run by Paul Stickland.

Over 200 colourful and productive flower beds growing a sophisticated selection of cut flowers and foliage to supply florists and the public for weddings, events and occasions throughout the seasons. There are traditional garden favourites: delphiniums, larkspur, foxgloves, scabious and dahlias, alongside more unusual perennials, foliage plants and grasses, creating a stunning and unique display.

(This lies just under an hour’s drive away, mostly on main roads.) Black Shed Flowers don’t have refreshments facilities but there is a cafe next door, the Farmyard Kitchen, which offers breakfast or lunch and refreshments. Contact them directly on 01935 815040 or via https://huntsfoodhall.co.uk/thefarmyardkitchen/, We have not tried it.

£10 per person (cash please). Payment with booking.

Everyone welcome.
